To 3rd Gen 4Runner ethusiasts,
This is considered the best generation of 4Runner. This engine will go beyond 500k miles if good maintenance is continue and not abuse.
Please read through. You will appreciate what I have done. I have invested over 00 to make it tip top condition because I want to enjoy and not worry since I do not have any prior service records from the car dealership I purchased from. I was planning to put a lift kit for show. Then I found a manual transmission one and this is the only reason I am selling. This is use for pleasure and I do not abuse. It drives like a champion. Oil change at Toyota Dealership, use Mobil 1 full synthetic oil (high-mileage) and filter. Use only Chevron premium gasoline. Put Chevron fuel system cleaner every 3k miles. I have over 100 pictures and videos.
It is in excellent condition inside out. This is a 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Sport. 4wd. 6 Cyl 3.4L. Automatic. Locking Differential. Sunroof/Moonroof. Step up bumper, running fog lights. All Terrain 16” tires.

What is replaced (OEM) and performed:
Jan 2021:
- 248k. Timing, Alternator, Power Steering, A/C Belts
- Water Pump, Serpentine Belt, Thermostat, Intake Manifold & Outer Gasket, Peak Asian Antifreeze / Coolant
- Idler & Tensioner Bearing, Hydraulic Tensioner
- Valve Cover Gaskets, Washers, Spark Plug Tube Seals
- Camshaft Seal, Crank Seal
- Catalytic Converters
- Exhaust gasket
- Upstream & Downstream Oxygen Sensors
- Interstate Battery. Replaced per mechanic recommendation since the previous battery was over 8 years.
- Alternator. Recommended by mechanic might as well replaced.
Dec/2020:
- New Paint (Clear Coat). Midnight Black. When I purchased the 4Runner the paint on hood and top were fading.
- Grille Guard, Deflectors, Exhaust tip
- Stabilus Liftgate Lift Support. Old ones were getting weak.
- Replaced the original silver antenna with the black antenna mast for a better look and match.
Do the math for the above necessary services performed, replacements and upgrades. These are necessary maintenance services and preventive measure. Therefore I know I can drive with confidence so will the next owner. Two five zero six three nine five. Area code 505. Thank you.
