Antique Ink Stone With 2 Cranes And Pine Tree

Here is a rare antique ink stone with 2 cranes and pine tree under the moon and clouds. My friend bought this ink stone from a used books store in 1985. It has Chinese calligraphy on the cover and on the back of the ink stone body too. Based on the make year (
丁卯
年立秋作
) on the back of the stone, it was made in 1927.  It also has a number 69 on both cover and body (
see last picture
).
The amazing ink stone carved cover has a lot of detail to show the style of raised design (
see the picture details
). Beautiful scene with vivid carving details makes this ink stone very artistic and beautiful. It will make a great gift though. I am selling this for a friend of mine who retired 12 years ago.
