MGC aluminum hood.....can ship.

Description

have an aluminum hood from a 1969 MGC. Has been stored for about 40 years. This hood appeared to be in good condition, but I had the paint stripped off to see what we had.
There were 5 dents to be found, other wise very straight.
Sent it out to my paint and body guy to have the dents worked out. He will only use a skim coat of filler after working out the dents. Then will follow with a couple of coats of PPG primer. (will post photos of the hood once I get it back this weekend.)
Also have the chrome trim strip which is in great condition and fits so much better than the repro pieces. Have the hood prop rod and fitting pieces with it.
I can wrap in plastic and strap down to a pallet for truck shipping or pickup in SE Michigan.
One coat of primer that was blocked, one guide coat followed by a second coat of high build primer.
I can build a wooden crate for the cost of materials: .00. For shipping purposes it would be 44 x 52 x 6 and with pallet weigh less than 100 lbs. Would come out of zip code 49221, to be picked up at my shop. No lift gate required.
