This listing is for a used, complete cosplay / costume set to be the Green Ranger, A.K.A. Tommy Oliver from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The entire costume should be considered used because I wore it for Halloween this past year (2022). I will break down the details of the use so you are fully aware that the costume, helmet, and dragon dagger should be considered used. I am almost positive you will not find this complete set anywhere else online, and I just want another Power Rangers fan to use it. I ordered the suit from CCosplay.com (Champion’s cosplay - see their website for the Green Ranger costume and what sizing means as this is their XL) and sourced the helmet and vintage 90s dagger toy from eBay.
The helmet is from the Bandai Legacy Collection - it is authentic, and works just fine. I wore it, and it was worn before I purchased it used on eBay myself. There are a few minor scratches pictures on the green and the teeth areas. The most important thing to note is I drilled a hole underneath the nose (pictured) so the visor does not fog up half as much. It’s a great improvement because wearing it otherwise it instantly fogged up. The hole can and should be cleaned up if you’re going for a near perfect cosplay, but the reality is you need the hole if you’re wearing the helmet. Box is in decent enough condition and is included.
The boots have some scuffs but I cleaned them up as best as I could. They were ordered as a USA Men’s size 11. They could be a little tighter to me to be honest, but everybody’s feet and legs are different. Zippers work fine, plenty of tread on the soles.
Unfortunately, the gold arm bands that go near the bicep were lost in all the Halloween celebrating.
The wrist gauntlets are in great shape and zip up fine.
The white gloves are worn and should probably be replaced by you, but these can be found cheap online.
The Velcro shoulder/chest armor is very nice and works fine; however, the underarm straps did get stuck on the front shoulder area of the spandex jumpsuit. The jumpsuit wear is pictured. There were some stains but I washed them up and out as best I could. If you’re looking for perfection, then you may need to replace the jumpsuit. The jumpsuit is an XL but was tight in the groin area for me at 6’1”, 190lbs. I’m like a skinnier Michael Phelps so I do have a longer torso to be frank and this could be why. It zips up fine in the back all the way to the neck.
The belt and holster is in good shape, and I took the time to wipe any excess dye that was transferring from the holster off before using it. Just a damp paper towel did wonders in preventing dye transfer all over my gloves. It came with a foam type of printed morpher, but I actually snagged a 3D plastic morpher from that janky Halloween costume one for adults and taped it to the belt as it looked way better. See pictures.
The green ranger Dragon Dagger is a vintage 1990s toy, and it shows some signs of wear. I had cleaned it up before use. There are minor scuffs on the plastic and blemishes on the rubber tip, and the battery compartment cover is missing. The cool thing is it still works! Just takes two AA batteries. Each button makes a different sound (summoning the Dragonzord, the MMPR theme sound, and another green ranger trumpet sound; the fourth button makes a metal swords clashing type of sound). The speakers are not working exactly perfectly, and it sounds ever slightly static-y. Regardless, it’s super cool to get everything you need for the costume, I think. You can compare it to other listings of the dagger.
If you have any questions about condition and/or need more photos, then please message me. I’m just a fan (me pictured wearing it), and this green ranger costume got me TONS of compliments on Halloween night (as I went with my girlfriend as the pink ranger, Kimberly). Girlfriend and pink ranger costume not included. It’s downright cool, and you should put it to fun use too.
I spent quite a bit of money to get this costume pulled off in time for Halloween, and I’d like to recoup some funds, but I want to share this experience with someone else.
Most importantly, RIP Jason David Frank, and may the power protect you, always.
